Surrendering your beloved pet is never an easy decision

LCR strives to assist as many owners as possible through our surrender program. Our program is built to give the animals we house the best care while they are here and the opportunity for a happy, fulfilling next chapter in their life.

Please keep in mind that we are a no-kill animal rescue, which means we can only bring in animals as we have the space and resources. Additionally, for the safety of our staff, volunteers and animals, we cannot take animals with known aggression or bite history.

Dog Surrender

Please complete the Dog Surrender Form and return with pictures to [email protected].

Please allow us up to a week to review the form. We will get back to you to let you know if we have the space and are able to bring your dog into our facility for a surrender evaluation.

Horse Surrender

We take in owner surrender horses as space allows. We are currently working off a several month waiting list.

The surrender fee for a miniature horse is $300, rideable horse is $500 and $3000 for a horse deemed companion only (not applicable to minis). All horses must be evaluated and approved to be added to the waiting list.

To be considered, you must submit the Horse Surrender Bio and photos of the horse to [email protected].
