Hey Kids...check out the
Junior Rescuer's Volunteer 4H
Program
LCR welcomes everyone to help in our mission. We have
volunteer opportunities for everyone!
Click here for an explanation. The first step in volunteering for LCR is to attend a Volunteer
Orientation and fill out an application. You may print an application off
the web site HERE, email
fronto@lastchanceranch.org
to request one
or call 215-538-2510 and request one. We have open positions in every
aspect of LCR. Office, Barn, Fund raisers etc. We don't have mandatory
time required EXCEPT for feeders and Barn Chores (at least one feeding per
week).
It is best we have an application so we can appropriately assess where you
can be most effective.
We have a regularly scheduled mandatory Volunteer Orientation and Tours
the first Saturday of every month. 10:00 a.m. at the ranch. Rain or shine,
so dress appropriately. (You must attend one before volunteering)
Directions We schedule other orientations around
our monthly activities when possible.
If you are unable to make the first Sat of any given month please
let us know by E-mail. Contacts
Orientations take about an hour or so. You will be given a tour of the
facility and ideas of the volunteer opportunities available. If we have a
project going on
at the time you may stay afterwards to help. If there is time someone will
speak to you then. If not, you can expect a call within 2 weeks to discuss
what area you would like to participate and where we need you most. There
is not any riding except by naturally trained instructors
due to the horses needing special experienced consideration. If you are
interested
in learning riding we can set you up in the
Horsemanship program.
You may mail your application to
Last Chance Ranch
9 Beck Road
Quakertown, PA 18951
Attn: Volunteering Coordinator
Or bring it with you to an orientation.
We look forward to meeting you.
