GinOnTheRocks
Reg TB gelding foal in 1997. Gin is a big 16.2 hh and a beautiful mover, with
an elegant physique which would make him a wonderful dressage prospect. He is
a dark chestnut, almost liver, with a wide white blaze. Gin has been off the
track due to an injury of the right front tendon. He is healed and sound but
has a visible thickening to the tendon from the old bow. Ben Tenn Walker GIDEON Appaloosa gelding
Jackson
Tanner15.3 hh mousy gray buckskin geld, camp horse, sound, needed some time off from
being used all summer in camp and lessons. He came from Mexico. Bomb proof, kid proof, in
his late teens.
_______________________________________________________ FATAL INSTINCT UPDATE: 7/11/05 -Fate has been placed in long term foster care for rest and relaxation. She is doing wonderful romping and playing with friends in the pasture. She will remain in this home forever. Please see Adoption Corral or In Rehab for more horses that have been saved from uncertain doom. "FATE": a 5 year old bay filly from the race track. She was
injured in a race, but with a few months of stall rest and some slow
rehabilitating therapy she should be fine in a year or so. She is absolutely
beautiful with and angel of a personality to boot. Fate has
been hand walked and turned out in a small grassy area next to the others
for companionship. She is still very sore, but x-rays reveal nothing broken.
She will talk time to heal, but offers a lot of potential. She can be a bit
spunky on the lead and likes to walk on her hind legs and dance
around...quite the show off!!!
Fate is in foster care now, turned out in a huge field
with some of LCR's other friends. We don't know if she will ever be sound
enough to do much, but she is happy and enjoying life as a pasture ornament. ________________________________________________________________

Libra was saved me from the auction because his legs were so poorly cared for no one wanted Him. He has a bacterial skin infection in his ankles. It is not contagious, but it is very irritating. Basically it is a bad case of mud scratches. We think Libra stood most of the time in mud and manure. Libra's legs are hosed daily and then a special cream is applied to the sore areas. Libra is only 12+ years old and knows how to drive. The cable show ANIMAL PLANET has picked up his story and they will be following his progress. The story will air sometime in the spring.

Starfleet is a Saddlebred gelding and he was recently (Fall 2000) adopted by Irena, a volunteer. Starfleet had a bit of a bucking problem when first mounting him. Irena fell in love with Starfleet and wanted to be his friend regardless of whether he would be ridable or not but when Irena got on his back she stuck to him like glue! We think that Starfleet has met his match! Lori felt that all Starfleet needed was a confident, patient rider and now he has just that. Starfleet is doing very well and boarding at a very ritzy stable near Valley Forge State Park! To read more about Starfleet click on his picture. ![]()
Sandi is a 20-year-old grey mare. She was saved at auction from slaughter.
Sandi will make a perfect child' pony. She had a knee injury from a bad kick, but
is recovering well. She needed some rest to recover and lots of TLC. She was looking
for a lucky child to share light rides and her love and affection. ![]()
Toby is a registered QH, named Tobano Two. He is 29 years old (He doesn't look it does he?) He knows how to ride, but hasn't done so in a long time. Toby lost his home because the farm he lived at just got too expensive to keep. LCR took them in because he had no other place to go. Toby is very happy and has been recently adopted. |
