Mr. Exquisite Sable

UPDATE 02/13/2008
Sable is available for placement! Due to financial reasons, Sable is being returned to LCR for re-placement.

Sable had been with a lovely family but they can no longer afford their horses and had to give them all up. Sable has come back to LCR. Below is the write ups from before, all it the same as he was before. Sable spent the winter of 2003 babysitting some of the youngsters. He is sound and has remained sound throughout a very harsh winter. Sable has turned into quite the character and has become a favorite here at LCR. He is looking to pass on his kindness and gentle nature to a new family. Sable still should not be a jumping horse due to his weakness in his stifles, but makes a great horse to learn on and grow with. He is trained and able to go in any direction. He has a very soft touch and responds well to the lightest of aids. We will be trail riding and working on the fears he has wanting to run through the big open fields. He is great and quiet in the woods. He is a perfect horse to learn to ride on in the ring with a lot of knowledge and an easy going nature.

Placement Fee: $800

I  learned a lot last summer and I am now ready to pass this on to a new home. I am available to the right family. I still need some settling and confidence before I will able to be a good trail horse. I am looking for someone to work with me so we can build a trust together.

Summer 2002, I love the attention I receive here at LCR. Everyone is so wonderful to me. I get groomed and pampered daily. I have learned to trust my family here and like my job as a big brother to some of the new comers. I still have not gone on the trails since that was an issue in my other home, LCR is not taking any chances yet. I will be staying with LCR to continue my Natural Horsemanship Education. Thank you for all who have shown an interest in me. I would love to have you visit or join the Horsemanship Program and work with me hands on.

Hi, I'm Sable.  I am a 12 year old Appendix Quarter Horse gelding.  I have been shown on the Quarter horse circuit for a year.  LCR doesn't know much about me at the moment since I have not arrived to the Ranch yet.
More info to come, so check back soon.

~ If you think you might be interested in me, please fill out an application.  If I'm not the perfect match, there might be one at the ranch that is!!~

I have arrived at LCR and love it. I am very well trained and have been incorporated into the LCR Horsemanship Program. If that works out I will be staying at LCR as long as I enjoy giving lessons. I have had some bad experiences on the trails in my previous homes so I would much rather stay in the ring for now. As we work through some trail riding issues, I may become available for placement.
