I really need a special home with a loving family and other horses. I love my horse buddies and I'm a really good companion horse. I'm very gentle with people... I would never hurt anyone! I love attention and I adore carrots! There is a special volunteer who gives me carrots all the time. When I don't eat because I am impatient to be outside, she stands outside my stall and holds a bucket with grain and waits till I am done eating. She won't turn out my friends until I'm done because she know's I'll get anxious and stop eating if all my friends are outside without me. I get depressed sometimes because my friends are always leaving for new homes. I wish I could keep a few friends around for a while but they always seem to leave me behind. All I really want is a friend to keep for a long, long time. I just need some love, attention, and a best buddy that will stay with me, then I'll gain the weight...I know I will! There must be someone out there who needs a friend for their horse. Please adopt me....I promise I'll be a good friend!


I am a 23-year-old TB mare. I had a good home with a very nice lady. I had some other friends with me but they were older and passed on to greener pastures. I became so depressed; I wanted to go with them, so I went on a hunger strike. Now I came here to try to meet new friends and get my appetite back so I can become fat again. I can be ridden lightly but I have a " hitch in my getalong". It doesn't hurt too much but I have to take it easy, even though I don't like to. Although I eat better now I still have some mal-absorption problems and I don't put weight on easily. I will need a special home with other horses because I become very attached to my friends.
