Hi, I'm Lady...
New Update: 10/31/02: Lady
has found a new home...she has gone to live with some of our other
rescues in NJ in a well respected boarding/lesson facility. She is
permanently placed there with several kids to dote over her daily. She
gets the care and stimulation she needs to keep her learning in the
correct direction.
UPDATE
8/21/02
Lady was returned to
LCR in June of 2002. She was in a home with a pony, and some sheep.
Lady decided she could push the sheep around and tell the pony what to
do. Her new family was very upset that things were not working out for
them with Lady in their family and they just didn't have time to work
on it.
Lady needs to be with
someone who can spend more time with her on a regular basis. She is
very willing to learn and still a real sweetheart. She has no bad
habits and not a mean bone in her body. She has had some schooling
since she left, but needs her education to continue. LCR has work with
her through the Natural Horsemanship Program and she is doing
wonderfully. She is ready for the intermediate rider, or the new horse
owner with some instruction. Lady has had no lameness issues in over a
year, she may be able to do some small cross rails (18 to 24 inches),
but we don't want to stress her ankle by making her into a jumper.
Placement Fee: $1200.
My birthday is March 23, 1994.
I am a 15.3hh, TB
mare. I was on the racetrack, but didn't make much of a racehorse. I didn't like to be out front. I injured my ankle in training. I was very lame when I came to LCR, but since then I have gotten so much better. I am very sweet and easy to be around. I have no bad habits. I will make a wonderful riding horse if someone is willing to teach me the skills necessary. I'm only 7 years old so I can be taught to do anything. Adopted
