UPDATE: new pictures coming soon, she is much lighter, grayer.

Ele has been bounced about a bit. She is being returned to LCR again. Ele has had some trouble with her heart and she fainted. Tests are continuing and results are not in. She had fainted in February 2005 when she was a little over weight and out of shape. A special diet and exercise program have seemed to work and she has not had any trouble since then. Her family feels it best to send her back to LCR to find a home that will be sympathetic to her condition. LCR is continuing testing and results will be posted as we find them. As for right now we do not feel she cannot be ridden, just by someone who knows what may happen or what to expect, (which it may never happen again).

Ele is trained well and a pleasure to ride. She is otherwise sound and ready for someone to keep her in light work.

Ele or Eleghanzi is an extremely well bred Arabian filly who came to us due to a heart murmer. Although the heart murmer is not a health problem, she was kindly donated by Val-Delor Arabs in New Jersey to help raise funds for LCR. Her sire, El Ghazi was Reserve National Champion English Pleasure horse at Arabian National show. Elle's dam is by Strike a National Champion Halter Horse. Strike's sire, Aladdinn was one of the most famous imports to come to this country from Poland and was also a National Champion Halter horse. Strike's dam comes from a Bask daughter...Bask being National Champion in both Halter and Park and one of the most influentional breeding stallions.
Ele was recently (Fall 2000) adopted by a family in Yardley, PA and is doing very well. She has another horse friend named Pepper along with two goats, two potbelly pigs, two Llamas and a coop full of chickens as friends. Although we miss her a lot we are happy that she has found such a good home. Click on her picture for more details.

I was born in May 1998 in Kentucky. I really like people and I have wonderful ground manners. I was here at the Last Chance Ranch Vendor Fair/Expo in August where Ryan "Whispered" in my ear and I allowed him to ride me for the very first time. I've been ridden only a couple of times since. I have a tricuspid heart murmur. The vet listened to my heart and said it should cause me no problems throughout my life. I was donated to LCR to help in their fund raising efforts. My adoption fee will help other horses at LCR.

Update: Ele with her New friend Don the Llama...

2/1/01 Update: Ele met her new Llama friends Don and Juan when she was turned into the community pasture on her third day at her new home. Being the curious animals that they are Juan walked right up to her to meet her nose to nose. He took one sniff, turned around, jumped up in the air and ran away. Ele, not knowing the meaning of all this, jumped in the air and ran after him. Thus began Ele's friendship with Llamas. She finds them to be curious and playful pasture buddies.

2/12/01 Update: Yesterday we practiced mounting and dismounting. This is the first time I have been on her since Ele arrived. No big deal for her, she was as calm as she was in your arena. I suspect I am going way to slow in her training, but I would rather she be relaxed than pushed too fast. We continue to go for our two mile rides on Saturday mornings. Since Chrissy wasn't able to join me this Sat, I went on Pepper with Ele leading along side in full dress (saddle and bridle). This weekend we got to practice small puddles and wet pavement. It is good that Pepper is so calm and stable. Ele just follows him. Hope all your crew is well.

5/14/01 Update: Ele checking in here. Today Pepper and I celebrated our birthdays. He was born on the 9th and I on the 16th of May. We had birthday baths on Saturday. What fun. It was a hot day and that cool water felt so good. Today we had a party with carrots and apples for all. Attached is a photo of me in my English outfit. Don't I look nice?
