Our adoption fees are tax deductible and help pay for the spay/neutering, health care and food for rescued dogs, horses, and cats that live at the rescue.  If it seems high to you, then you should reconsider adopting an animal, as the cost of veterinary care and food over the life of an animal is not something to be taken lightly.
