OUR JOURNEY & IMPACT

Founded in 1999, Last Chance Ranch began as a non-profit equine rescue, focused on saving slaughter-bound horses. After assisting with Hurricane Katrina recovery in 2005, we expanded our mission to rescue companion and farm animals. In 2007, we grew our facility by 25 acres, adding more enclosures and laying the groundwork for a future kennel, which we completed in 2010. Today, our 35-acre facility houses over 150 animals of all kinds, offering a safe haven for every animal in need.

Please note: Last Chance Ranch operates independently. Lori McCutcheon, the founder, continues to own the property where our facilities are located, but has had no affiliation with the organization since December 2017. She no longer has authority to represent or claim any ongoing involvement with Last Chance Ranch. If you have experienced, or are aware of, any attempts by any person to falsely represent LCR, please contact our Executive Director, Jackie Burke, at [email protected] or (215) 538-2510, ext. 102.
