Thunder is an over grown miniature horse. He stands about 38 inches. He was shipped in from out west with his friend Lightening to become family pets. We believe these well-intentioned people thought they would be getting pets that would be more like having a dog. Horses, even miniature ones, need special attention and have specific requirements. Dental, farrier, exercise, grooming, veterinary, and more. Taking on a new pet should have very special consideration. Horses can live well into there 30s and some have lived as long as into their 50s. Adopting a horse is a life long commitment. Thunder is only 3 years old and was recently gelded. He does not know much more than how to be led and pick up his feet. He is very smart and learns quickly. We are sure it would be very easy to teach him to ride, drive or even do tricks.
