 THISTLE

Better photo coming soon! this one doesn't do her justice.

Thistle is back (4/23/06) at LCR and under evaluation for rideability.

UPDATE: 6/02/06

Thistle has been riding, going on trails and even giving a couple of beginner lessons. She has remained sound and just a joy to be around. She is very easy to work with and ride and can be ridden by just about anyone. She is turned out with mares and gelding ands is very agreeable to them all.

Thistle is a draft cross mare probably Belfian x Quarterhorse. she is ~13 years old and was over worked and needed a rest. She had an injury to her knee but seems to have healed fine. She was been turned out since the fall of 2004 for rest and relaxation at our Graterford facility.  Thistle got her name due to millions of "thistles" in her mane and tail. It took several  volunteers an entire Saturday to remove them all, while she stood there enjoying the attention. Thistle picks up her feet well, better than most drafts we come across, and  is very mild mannered. She is ~ 16.3 hh.

Placement Fee: $ 1200
