How Tank is progressing. After undergoing his training to become a therapeutic riding horse. He has passed with flying colors and has 2 students of his very own now!  Most of the volunteers love working with him as he is such a snuggle bug and loves to cuddle. He's also the first one at the gate with a look on his face like " Ohh Ohh Pick Me pick MEEEE" He's quick to learn and very patient. We are very pleased with him. I am including some pics of Tank and one of his students and one of Tank and his girlfriend. Don't laugh... she pushes him around!!! She's not a mare you shouldn't take lightly!! lol!!!

Tank was purchased from auction in July 2004. He was used as a plow horse and probably worked 8 – 12 hours per day until he was used up and thrown away at auction. He was approximately 300 pounds underweight and just tired. He has had a few months off, nourishing food and is rested. He is a wonderful trail horse that anyone can ride, 200% bomb proof. He still needs some work picking up his feet, but getting better.  Tank is only about 13 years and 100% sound. He trailers well and gets along with everyone, mares or geldings. Nothing phases him. He loves to be petted and brushed and just loves being around people.

Placement Fee: $750

We will be getting in many more drafts like this in the very near future as they are coming out of work. They will be under weight and tired and will need some time off to recuperate. If anyone is interested in a draft horse, send in your application to be put on the waiting list for drafts. They are usually all the same calm, quiet, wonderful trail horses.
