Hi, I’m Kaliber Chrome       I was born in March 1995. I am double registered  (Breeding stock) American Paint and Palomino. I have great conformation and a wonderful attitude. Approximately 4 years ago I was in training as a cutting horse until my skin irritation made it too uncomfortable to be ridden anymore. I have been treated with Steroids, topicals, internals, and nothing has seemed to clear things up for me. We underwent many different tests, and know  I have allergies, but we are still not sure what exactly I am allergic to that sparks my itchiness. I am doing great with monthly injections but my skin will always look this way.  Some say I am very appealing and unique!

Hi, I'm Clue!

Clue's x-rays reveal navicular changes. He has lollipop lesions on his navicular bone. He will not be able to do sharp turns or stops of any kind. He is being trimmed to compensate and tested on isoxsuprine HCl, a medication for the assistance of blood flow to the navicular bone/area. Clue has been coming around with his fears of the saddle and other equipment, but we have noticed things can creep up on him. We have had his eyes checked and it seems he would need glasses if he were able to read the eye chart.  This may have been some of the reasons for his fears. Clue has become a real character...sort of like the class clown. He knows how to make you laugh and do things that are just too cute. He likes to get into mischief, and he gets away with it too. He has really become relaxed here and learning to trust.

I’m a 20+ yr. Old gray Arabian mare. I was born in 1982 in Kentucky.  I used to show quite successfully and I've had a few babies.  I came to LCR in the Fall of 2000 to save me from falling into the wrong hands. I now give lessons and pony rides to all ages because I am so well behaved. I go on outings for demos and clinics. My services raise money and awareness for LCR so we can continue our program of educating the public and to care for the unwanted horses that pass through the ranch.
