JAKE

UPDATE 3/31/04
Jake has been going on some trail rides with some of the other horses. He is 200% bomb proof for anyone, child or adult. He is actually a little slow and pluggy at times and needs a little motivation to move. He will never run away with you, he's too lazy. Jake was injured over a year ago and seems to have healed fine. He had a hip injury, but has not shown any indication of pain or limitations since last summer. Jake has been turned out with several others and runs and plays with them all. He is easy to get along with any animal or person. He can be handled by any beginner and will be a great confidence builder or first horse. With Jake's kind temperament and wonderful attitude he will not be available for long so contact us today!

Look what Jake can do... 7year olds, Shanley and Amanda (not pictured) have been taking turns learning the basics of Horsemanship, horse care, balance and steering. Jake has become the favorite...and his kind, gentle horseonality has made him most trustworthy.  Jake's friends are Bug and Ollie. Jake runs, bucks, rears, and plays hard like there was never anything wrong. We feel Jake needed this year to heal and is ready to go back to work. As soon as we have a break in the weather we will see if Jake can handle and adult and some trail rides. We already know he is beginner proof and child safe. Jake's best friend is Bug. It would be wonderful to find them a home together if at all possible.

Placement fee: $900

JAKE: a 13 year QH cross was also sent to us by veterinarians, from Quakertown Vet Clinic. He was scheduled to be euthanized, with the solution already in the syringe, when we were contacted to spare his life. Jake has an injury to his hip (See picture to right above) which will leave him unable to do hard rides, but he is a wonderful pet and will make someone very happy to have him around. He is a gentleman and gets along with everyone. Sweet and quiet enough for a 5 year old to handle, to learn balance and steering. Jake is healthy in every other way and would love to find a place to live with new friends who know his limitations. He is not in pain as evident by his playfulness with the other horses. Jake has a mystery brand on his left hip. Does anyone recognize it? if so contact us.
