Jackson

Jackson is a wonderful pony rescued from auction. No one at the auction even wanted him. We paid $20 for him hence the name Jackson since he’s on the 20-dollar bill. He limped in on 3 legs. His feet had not being trimmed in a long time and had grown out toward the sides. His tendons on his right front had become contracted making it almost impossible to stand straight on that leg. With some proper trimming Jackson instantly walked better. We have found now that he seems to have one leg shorter than the other. Our farrier Barry is in the process of fitting him with a shoe to compensate.

Jackson is wonderful around the kids and other animals. We think he once drove. He  has been ridden bareback and with a saddle with the kids. He does well but doesn't know very much, he was probably driven more than ridden. He is only about 13 years old and ~11 hands.  He would make a wonderful addition as a new family member.  He has been brought  up to date with vaccines, dental care, coggins test, and multiple de-wormings. He does wind suck when he is bored.

Placement Fee: $300
Although we only paid $20 for him he has cost us over $500 in bills.
