FOOLISH

Foolish can be very playful and didn't seem to mind that we were trying to make her look like a rein deer.

Foolish is young, only 5 years, and a pony at ~14.2hh. She is very smart and very independent. She is a beautiful mover and would make a great driving pony too. We have ridden her only with a rope halter due to her teeth problems, but is fine with that. She needs some instruction, but will be the perfect her in no time.

Although Foolish cost LCR over $5000 in medical bills, her Placement Fee: $1500

UPDATE 4/04/03: Foolish's surgery has been a success, with no signs of reoccurring infection in her jaw. She is ready to start Natural Horsemanship and will be picked as a project for some of LCR's Students. Her availability will be determined by her response to the program and the limits of her jaw situation.

Foolish is a black mare 14.2 hh who came in June 2002. Her surgery was scheduled for June 13th and took a total of 6 hours split into 2 days. She needs everyone's help! Surgery and medications were well over $5000 with months of daily medicating and care. She was named correctly because she is really a character. She is only 4 years old and LCR feels she is worth all the work, time, effort and money to save her life (but aren't they all). She has a great attitude and spirit and should be able to handle the stress of her daily treatments.  She has been trained to ride and has been on trails. She has, the best way to describe it, is an impacted tooth. She needs surgery to remove the tooth, the one next to it and part of her jaw that has become infected due to prolonged exposure to the infection. This will take everyday, 2-3 times/day of cleaning her mouth.
