UPDATE: Dot & Tina have been placed with the President of www.petfinder.com The are living in the "Ritz". Dot has deteriorated significantly with EPM in the past couple of months. She is being kept comfortable and Tina is making new friends.
They have been together for over 23 years and will become very distraught if separated. Dot "Checkers Dot" is her registered name, was foaled in 1970. she was a kids' horse and a pleasure mount for the entire family. She is extremely well mannered and will do anything for anyone. Currently she is the favorite grooming horse for Jacob, LCR's 1st blind and deaf student. Tina waits in the stall watching every move. Tina, registered name Estrinna, gets very anxious with every little thing that is done to her. She does not pick up her feet very well and does not have great manners. She would sooner be left alone. Their family could no longer care for them and they came to live with LCR. They will need to go to a home together to live out there days in comfort.
