Welcome to
LCR's small animal division. Click here for a Small Animal application. Please read and sign the agreement
Millions of wonderful pets are abandoned, picked up as strays, or turned into shelters by their owners every year. Many are euthanized due to overcrowding and rising cost of care. Below are some of the lucky ones that have been rescued and re-homed through LCR.

If there is nothing here that you are looking for please let us know. We have a networking system that is able to find many other types of animals and breeds. Please make an appointment! Some of these have placements pending already and may not be available or are at foster homes and not at our main location. There is no obligation to adopt from us just because you have an application on file, but this will put you on a waiting list for the type(s) of dog you are looking for. Our application is pretty self explanatory, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. As for the adoption, as long as your references check, vet & personal, etc, there are usually not any problems and you are good to adopt. We charge a $200 fee for non altered animals with a $50 deposit that will be returned you to once they are altered. If they already are, it is $250 fee. This includes all necessary vaccines (DHLPP+) including Bordetella and Rabies, medical records and certificates. Multiple de-wormings to cover all bases, Heartworm/Lymes/Erlicha/AP testing, started on Heartworm preventative and Frontline/Advantage. Necessary medical treatments and care, grooming, informative DVD, leash and collar, and a starter packet. Also Micro-chipping with Home Again and prepaid registration that will be transferred into your names after the dog has been neutered/spayed or the 30 day trial period is up. Although we hope all dogs find their exact forever home the first time they get placed, sometimes it just doesnt work out, so we give a 30 day trial period to make sure everyone is happy, but even after 6 months or 6 years, we are still here for you if you would ever need a home or help with your adopted pet.
Please email if you are interested in seeing one of us. Our fees only partially cover the costs that we have incurred. Please sponsor one of us today and help save another life. Dogs like PAYTON NEED YOUR
SUPPORT Heartworm, is your dog at risk? LCR now has been taking in "Gas Chamber" Dogs & Cats/Kittens. Although most folks thought they were outlawed and out of use, yes, some areas still use a gas chamber to euthanize unwanted over populated areas. LCR works with the death row dogs and cats to help find new homes for pets that would be otherwise put to sleep because they are thrown away by uncaring people and the shelters just don't have any more room or resources. LCR will help locally or travel to many states across the country to help companion animals in need. At this time we are only charging what we have to pay. As long as donations continue to help the companion animals rescue and relocation's, we can continue to keep our placement fees to a minimum. Update: we were dumped!!! Our owner was desperate and she did the wrong thing!
PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER!!!
